Christmas appeal

Falkirk Vineyard Church is a church in the community, serving the community, changing one life at a time.
Throughout the year, our Love Falkirk ministry supports people in need—but the challenges are especially acute during the festive season.
Poverty is a real issue, particularly at Christmas, when families long to share in the joy of the season but are faced with difficult choices: heating their homes, feeding their families, or buying a present for their child.
This year, we’re working with local agencies and families in need to make a real difference.
Our goal is to provide gift cards for 80 children—giving families the dignity of choosing a present their child truly wants. These gift cards will be distributed through trusted local agencies to those most in need.
We want every child to wake up on Christmas morning feeling loved, valued, and remembered.
Can you help us make this a season of goodwill?
Donations can be made via our JustGiving page, or you can contact us directly at [email protected] and we’ll guide you through the donation process.
Any funds raised above our target will go toward future Love Falkirk activities.

Love falkirk food pantry

As part of our ongoing commitment to Camelon and the surrounding area, Love Falkirk runs a Community Pantry at our premises at 66 Union Road, FK1 4FP. The Pantry offers support for residents of Camelon, Tamfourhill and Bantaskin who are struggling with the rising cost of living, our Pantry Members can choose 12 items from our shelves each week for £3 a week. Membership lasts for a 12 week period (up to a maximum of 2 times a year), during which time we will offer support and a helping hand as our Pantry Members get back on their feet.

To join just, complete a membership form using the QR code and once we have received your completed form, one of our team will be in touch to confirm if your application has been successful and agree the start date of your membership - we would ask you to walt until you hear from us before attending the Pantry.

Thank you to everyone who has donated items to the food pantry over the last few weeks.

We rely on the generous donations of our supporters in the community to help restock our shelves each week.

There is also a space to leave donations during Falkirk Vineyard Church services, held in the Polmont Community Centre every Sunday from 10.30am.

OUR STORY

Love Falkirk is our compassion ministry here at Falkirk Vineyard. We are passionate about seeing our community transformed by the love of Jesus. All throughout the bible Jesus demonstrated love for people in practical ways, setting an example for us to follow.

We work with local agencies in Falkirk to help individuals and families who are struggling with poverty and crisis. We aim to provide support those in need through generosity and love. We provide food parcels, household items, toiletries and community.

In 2017 we started our Christmas project where we provide Christmas dinner hampers and Christmas presents to those in our community who would otherwise do without.

We believe that everyone deserves to feel loved and worthy and be able to live a life of dignity.

OUR IMPACT

From the start of the lockdown period of 2020 we have provided:

Over 30000 meals to people attending the food pantry
Christmas Dinner hampers including crackers and napkins to 50 households
£50 toy vouchers to the parents of 87 children to choose Christmas gifts
School Holiday Hunger Packs to provide extra food to every family attending the food pantry

Our food pantry membership has also grown from 15 households to 50 during this time.

QUOTES FROM SOCIAL WORK

“Thank you so much, you have been such a big help to many of our families, you have helped so many people and your help is so appreciated”

“You guys are outrageously generous”

“Your support has made the world of difference”

“We don’t know what we would have done without all of your help.”

SUPPORT

Currently this ministry is operated by 8 volunteers on a weekly basis who are motivated by compassion for the most vulnerable in society and recognising the dignity and worth of every individual. During Christmas and other busy times we have many other volunteers from within our church, we welcome any others who would like to help in this ministry.

We also receive donations of non-perishable food and toiletries. These are collected at Falkirk Vineyard Church every Sunday at our 10:30am service. If you would like to know what kinds of food to bring, you can check out our social media channels, or get in touch using the contact form below.
